One of the mechanics I want to add to Rigged Defense is the ability to do things on planet Earth. For this purpose, you will be able to direct people to work in one of the new areas:
The factory:
- It will allow you to refine the materials you get from destroying aliens, as well as heavy materials. Each factory requires a minimum amount of “x” people to function. The more people a factory has (up to a limit), the faster it will refine materials.
The collection area:
- At first, you will start with a house and one or two people (idea still in process), and you will have to collect materials in order to start building constructions. The materials to be collected will be at least 3 (the first buildings will ask for one or two materials, but their upgrades will require more materials and/or a greater quantity).
- Collecting takes some time, but it will be quite short between collections.
- The speed and amount of collection can be improved with the improvement of “collection tools”.
- At least one person can collect, and there will be a maximum number of people who can do this work at once.
House:
- The house will allow you to store 5 people (subject to change), who will arrive little by little as reinforcements. The more people you have, the better! You can collect more materials and better cover various needs.
- The cost of building the house will be only wood.
Cultivation area:
- Your people need to eat to be happy and work better. For this purpose, these cultivation areas are created, as people consume a certain amount of food, so it is always good to have some reserves (it is not a city management game, but having a goal with your people never hurts).
- To build a cultivation area you need wood, water and people, so be careful not to have many houses and no food as this will affect the time they take to do a job (collecting, improving or researching, building, etc.).
- At least one person must work in this area for it to function, up to a limit.
Water area:
- At first you can collect water for simple ponds where you can store it.
- One person can collect water. The more people you have, the more water you will collect because it is a basic resource that you will use a lot throughout the game.
- You can store water even without having a warehouse as such, but the amount will be very small.
